Rio Olympic champion Vladimer KHINCHEGASHVILI (GEO) trailed Akhmed CHAKAEV (RUS), 7-0, in the second period of the '17 European finals. The Georgian scored ten consecutive points and won the 65kg title, 10-9.

“King Vlad’s” win over Chakaev in Novi Sad handed him a third career European title.
